Answer: If your incident is an emergency, call 911. If non-emergency, call 831-384-7575.
Question: What if this happened in another city. Can I file a report using the online police reporting system?
Answer: No, If a crime took place outside of the City of Marina, please call the police department for that city.
Question: What if this happened on a state Freeway?
Answer: If this was a hit and run accident, contact the Highway Patrol Office nearest you. All other crimes/incidents can be reported using this system as long as the state highway falls within the city limits.
Question: What is a known suspect or lead?
Answer: A known suspect is when you or someone else knows who committed the crime, or has specific information that would lead police to the person that committed the crime. As an example, specific information leading to the suspect might be a license plate number, video footage of the suspect, a discarded suspect ID Card, cashed check with suspect identifiers (I.E. Driver’s License number, video surveillance, signature), and etc. It does not include merely a suspect description; however, this information on descriptors can be entered by you into the narrative of your online police report.
Question: Where can I report complaints regarding city maintenance issues, such as potholes, street lights out, and traffic light malfunctions, etc.
